i have the sportpipe and since i had an extra headpipe laying around, i went the exchange route. your savings may not be quite as much, but you could go with one of the other poster's offers for an extra headpipe, and then do the exchange which would leave you with a stock headpipe if you ever decided to sell your bike and wanted to put it back stock.

but back to the sportpipe. would i buy it again? absolutely. i'm not trying to wrangle every bit of hp out of this bike. and fullsac says it dynos within 1-2 hp of their more expensive dx pipe anyways. i can live with that.

Still has cat.
You can have it for just the shipping from NJ 08046
You can do it yourself and save money

This looks like a very generous offer to me.

You get the headpipe for the cost of shipping, which you would be paying for even if you bought a headpipe. In addition, as Skratch says, you will have your original pipe to revert back to if needed.

If I didn't have my Power Duals, I would jump all over this

If that doesn't work for you this is where I got my head pipe and I bought the 2.25 inch super flow mufflers as well. There is guy on e-bay that does decatted head pipes too.

By the time you pay for shipping and then if you pay someone else to remove the cat you are not at all ahead.

FWIW, I have an 09 non cat head pipe as well I wouldn't mind getting rid of.

PM if interested.

Mine are catless and I have an FP3 which uses the O2 sensors for auto tune. It works flawlessly. My HD dealer will exchange a catted header for a decatted one for $150. They made a rig with a plunger where they just slice the pipe, push out the cat with the plunger and weld it back together. I am pretty sure that as a dealer they would not be offering this service if it damaged the bikes.

I got my decatted header on this forum for $110 shipped. Still have my stock one in the garage.

Aren't the 09 O2 sensors different and mounted near the heads? The 10 and up are down by the converter.

De-cat the head pipe yourself with a $10 drill bit from Lowes. There are plenty of How-To on HD Forums or YouTube.
