Yes, this would be your least expensive option. They are also used on Road Kings so they would work fine. You could probably pick up a pair of take-offs for the cost of shipping.

Just curious what is prompting you to swap out the fairing mount mirrors, did you not like them?
I was considering going to fairing mounts on my Limited, maybe someone who's had both can give some insight??

Thanks, guys. After reading your replies, I checked out the Harley tribal mirrors. I've got a Willie G skull theme started anyway, so I ordered these from the MOCO. I think they'll look good. And I'm going to check out BZB123's idea on using the old holes to mount a GPS. Thanks for your help!

I like the fairing mount mirrors (check out my signature), but the 12" apes I'm having put on will block them. On your limited, they may just work. Let me know if you want my old ones.

This is the base mount I used for the Ram mounts

http://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-272U

Used a stainless steel bolt (painted the head black)

Also used a stainless steel fender washer on the back to spread the force out.

Had the dashcam on for 2 years and no problems.

No vibration to the videos compared to mounting on the bars.

I've used Ness Mini Ovals for a long time now. They are tiny but I don't have any problem using them.

Just mentioning an option. They don't look like big ole rabbit ears on apes.

You can find nice sized hole plugs in the hardware section of like lowes. Worth a search if you don't want to go the Harley route.

Thanks, bzb123. I've got an XM satellite receiver mounted on the left handlebar, and a Garmin mounted in the center, in front of my windshield bag. I could easily see the Garmin on the right side, using a setup like yours. Thanks again for the info.

I went to the retro style plain round mirrors on mine...work well, give the scooter an old school look...

Default Pic of apes with mirrors

Got the bike back Saturday, put the Willie G mirrors on that evening. thought I would share a picture. The mirrors look great, I think, but the 12" apes definitely changed the profile of the front of the Street Glide.
