I have the Ram X mount and it hits the volume on one side of phone and the sleep button on the other side. So it isn't good.
I just got a lifeproof case for my 6 and havnt tried it yet in the X mount
I bought a basic RAM mount and paired it with a product called a Slip Grip. They make a custom molded mount that wraps around most manufacturers of protective cases for each particular phone. I have the iphone 5S in an Otterbox Defender case and been really happy with the RAM and Slip Grip combo. They also make different slip grips that will interface with other manufacturers mounts. The link included goes to the Iphone 6+ options for the Otter Box defender case.
They have a nice mount and case. If they don't have a case for your phone they have a universal back attachment

It has an Otter Box case on it and I thought about somehow using the belt clip frame the phone snaps into to make a bike mount. That way I could just clip the phone into it and go.
Has anyone come up with a good way to mount a large cell phone to their bike? Or have you purchased a good quality mounting solution? If so, which one?
Don't know your setup but I have a three pouch on my bike and pop riveted a horizontal belt loop on the center one to use my belt loop phone hook up. Easy on easy off and in my view.

I second this. I have had these cases and mounds since iphone 3g. ill never go to anything else. and the magnet feature is the best thing ever invented.

That looks like a great mount but I don't want to have to use their case. I have an Otterbox case that I like a lot.
