For what its worth I took my S3 Otter case and put the belt clip holder on the case and slip it over the edge of my cup holder ! I t locked in place does not interfere with my bottle and rode all the way to Sturgis and back 2K miles with out a problem !! Cheap !
I have a Lifeproof case on my iPhone5 with the Lifeproof Bike and Bar mount on my Ultra that I've been using for a couple of years with no problem. Easy to put in and get out. Has the clearance to hook up power and plug into the stereo - I know you said you have a Road King but a speaker system could be in your future!
Will that mount work with the Otterbox Commuter, which is a little thinner and a little less bulky than the Defender? And, does the iPhone 6 Plus make contact with the handlebars, like when turning around at parking lot speeds?
