THUNDERHEADER FOR ROAD KING
Saw a ThunderHeader and falsee that are black ceramic coated on Direct Parts 650.00.I was told they make good performance gains as well as great sound.The nblk pipes would go well with a blacked out King.Opinions on the set up or the black how do they hold up?I also like them because can keep the dual pipe look.thx

i have seen the black set up on a few RK's the color seems to hold well. when i had my 03 RK i put on the thunder header slip-ons. i actually had to cap off my left side to stop the back firing...THEY DO SOUND AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the same option for my Glide, but went with D&D because the performance rating was better then both bubb rhinehards and thunder headers. I gotta admit they don't sound as nice as the thunderheaders.
If you're into the sound, go with the thunderheaders, if you're into the looks and performance, go D&D. The heat shields look much cleaner, and are included with the price of the pipes. I don't think the price you mentioned include the heat shields, do they?
