Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone had fitted a steering damper to a 2009+ bike ?
I want to fit one but cannot find anyone who makes one with a fitting kit for an ultra. I,m guesing it would be one mounted across the underside of the bottom triple tree,
The problem is that the fork tins cover the fork tube which is where this would mount. I'd assume that this is why there is not one available. A dampener needs to mount to the fork tube.
My question is why do you feel the need for a steering damper on a bagger?

May also want to look at the replacement top triple clamp offered by Custom Cycle Engineering if your looking to improve the handling / response of the front end and eliminate any head shake.
Hi all,
Sorry for the late reply.
I wanted a steering damper as the head shakes when i accelerate hard. I tend to ride my ultra a bit like my other sportsbiles and have found it to be a brilliant bike compared to my old 2007 roadking. If only the head would stop shaking, i,m sure i,d keep up with the odd sportsbile through the twisties here in the uk.
