yes, there is a gear whine in 5th gear. it is not horrendous, it is not a problem, and it is not the end of the world. now, there are a few bikes out there that have more than the normal noise. but it is very few. personally, i like it. lets me know if i'm in 5th, the light lets me know i'm in 6th, and i can tell by the rpm of the engine if i'm in 4th....
i would recommend at least getting some sort of fuel management system. without it, it is hot. make your ***** sweat hot.... i ran a pciii from fuelmoto with a stock map for several weeks before getting v&h true duals, and screamin eagle ac. with just the pciii, a lot of the heat was alleviated.
be prepared to get some new toothpaste to clean all them bugs out of your teeth, you will be grinning a lot.
1) I haven't heard any of those noises out of mine. Build date Jan 23.
2) I'm leaving mine stock for now. Will see about slipons later on if necessary.
Mine has a rattle in fifth gearand sixth,no whine that I can hear but i'm getting use to it (8500 miles)
If you can stand the heat from the crossover you don't have to do a thing except smile.I have a russell daylong seat, wife didn't like her part of the stock one,I thought it was pretty good.
1) Thought gear sound was part of the HD experience til read posts on this forum. I like.
2) added synth oil,4k miles, and premium oil cooler .something made it cool way down. will think about exhost, air, fuel ..later...?
Just bought a new computer cause old one is 5&1/2 years old. well while its still in the box the place I bought it from replaced it with a better one. In 2 days!!! this about made me s**t!! Took a deep breath and eventually calmed down. because this always happens and is a fact of life.
...It stillway better thenmy old one
yeah, electronics technology advances at such a rapid pace that the computer you are thinking about buying next month is already obsolete. i would think though, that after only 2 days, you could take it back and exchange it? depends on where you bought it.
skratch-Well I was smart enough from getting burned with technology over the years that I kept A lid on the cost(did not spend much) for this reason andthought about bringing it back but they have a 15% restocking fee. Like you said ..next month..same thing
