I'm looking to make my 14 SG fit me more to my liking , being blessed with a short inseam I've looked at lowering options and have decided to look at that as a last resort due to some of the feed back about ride and handling in the long haul.
I'm thinking about sending my stock seat off to Mean City Cycles to have them do there "Super Narrow" mod for $135 ;
"We reshape the sitting area of the seat to lower the ride height as much as possible and change the foam to Memory foam in the driver's sitting area. We narrow the seat pan where your legs go down so that the seat doesn't keep your legs spread apart as much and this really helps get your feet on the ground a lot better. (With this modification we can lower the riding position or keep it stock height. We can move the riding position forward or back or maintain the current front to back sitting position.)
NOTE - For stock Harley Davidson Touring bike seats 2011-2015"
and possibly move forward an inch also. I can sit almost flat footed but not much leverage / range of motion to maneuver for parking.
I have had Mean City Cycles do their magic on two of my seats and have been very satisfied with the results. In fact, I've never read any negative reviews on them. I would say go for it.

I have negative feedback. They don't do custom seats!!!! JK and no disrespect intended towards MCC.
Back to OP and inseam issue. Have you considered having your boot heels built up? Lower suspension sucks unless you can afford an air ride system.
I'm hoping the super narrow mod gains me enough on it's own , I'm not that far off , 1/2 to an inch would be a big improvement.
Straddling a narrower seat should allow more vertical use of my inseam , plus they can lower it some from stock height in addition to narrowing. I think I'll give them a call tomorrow and ask how much additional lowering would effect comfort .
Using different seats on my Deuce made alot of difference between them.
Stopit, this approach worked well for me. Mean City Cycles did the super narrow mod, lowered and moved me forward slightly. I'm very happy with the results and workmanship.
