No, I have a 2010 also. I need compression releases, that's a fact.

S&S makes the EZ start cams that eliminate the need for compression releases. I have 10.5:1 compression, S&S 585EZG cams and a stock starter. It cranks over like a stock 88, even on a hot start in summer.

S&S 570 EZ Start cams here @10.3 compression. I had manual compression releases installed when I had my head work done just in case I later wanted to try a different cam other than S&S.

Cool beans! That first start-up is the best! All your hard work made worthwhile. I know I was a nervous wreck as it was my first build. Here's my videos of the 1st and 2nd starts.

Is doing a big bore kit yourself within the abilities of someone like myself? I did cams through the top but no other engine work. How many specialty tools are required? What advice would you give?
