Default Problems after handlebar install

Hello everybody,

I just install new bars internally wired on my 2011 FLHTK Ultra Limited. Started the bike and the engine light is on, the green cruise light is on and I have no throttle response. I pulled the codes and have p1512, p2122, p2127, and p2138. I checked all the connectors to make sure they are wired correctly and they are. Has this happened to anybody before, what should I look for next? Any help would be great. I really hope I don't have to pull it all apart again.

Yes I secured that harness to the switch harness when I ran it through the bars. When I was almost through I connected the green connector, taped it up and finished fishing the harnesses.

I hate to tell you but I'd bet money the green connector is gonna be your problem. Especially if you've checked all of your wiring and the placement of all your pins are in the correct places. My suggestion to you, if your satisfied that your wiring is correct, pull it back out fat enough to get to the green connector and cut it out. Cut your wires one at a time and solder them back together and put heat shrink over them to cover your joint. Wrap entire bundle in electrical tape and pull it back into the bars.

Or: you can go to your local dealer and get the SE TBW and go that route.

What bars are you installing?

I used the CVO 32310-08 a little over a hundred bucks. It takes the dreaded green connector out of the bars. Saves lot of time and was money well spent!

Had the same issue when I changed my bars. Ended up buying the SE TBW and problem solved. Good luck.
