First, I feel for all who loose loved ones, we will or have lost, it is a part of life yet the pain never dim's.
To the subject, My grandchildren have all ridden with me, I require the minimum coverage & helmet.
I've never been a helment person but "safety" people are religious about this stuff. They can't help it, its their government training.
My response is G-d determines who lives and dies and all the powers in the universe can not change the inevitable. I love them all and they all ride with me, when their mom permits! Good kids, all of them,
Buzz thank you for the insite my granddaughter will be 5 this year and has been trying to get me to take her for rides for the past two years. I have put her off because I cant find a lid to fit her. Found o full face this wenter and pick it up now it may stay in the box for a little longer. so sorry for your loss but she is looking down at you now
BuzzCap7, I am sorry for you, your family and friends brother, I truly am.
chief1600, Lots of good posts and recommendations for you. Good riding gear that fits properly and good instruction are a big help.
I have three riding partners, my wife who rides a Road King, my 12 y/o son and my 10 y/o daughter.
I lost my son, my riding buddy, a friend, 7 months ago in June. Some of the fondest memories we, as a family have, are the trips we took on the bikes. He's still my riding buddy as I carry his memory and ashes with me.
This may sound all gooey and stuff but if you ever just want to talk to someone who has been there, just PM me and I'll send you phone number. I know in the last 7 months, I have relied on lots of friends but only one has the commonality with me. Now, I have to go find some Kleenex.
I am heartily sorry for you and yours. When I read your post, I stopped and asked God to help you see through your tears. You revealing your pain DID help someone, somewhere in someway. I know that.
Thank you.
Thank you my friend.
Your post is not only greatly appreciated but more than what I would ever ask for.
You are the TOPs along with the others who PM'd me in a heartfelt manner.
