I ordered a new Dunlop rear tire for a EG in mid March. It was back ordered until mid April. Now it is out until late May or June. I ordered it from Ron Ayers. They charged my card with in 24 hours of the order and can't deliver. They say it is due to Dunlop factory back up. Is anyone else experiencing this type of delay or is it just Ron Ayers??
Yeah, Dunlop was on strike at the end of last year and now that they are back deliveries are way behind. I waited 3 months for mine and I ordered last November.
Just ordered two tires from Chaparral. Got them within 7 days and a bit cheaper than Ron Ayers.Very nice people to deal with. http://www.chaparral-racing.com/
Cycle gear is who I have been recommending.
They have them in stock and are getting regular deliveries.
Several friends have had no problems getting tires through them.
I live near the Dunlop plant and have a few friends who work there, they were out on strike for quite a while. So I think that it will be sometime until they are caught up with back orders.
here are definitely spot shortages of Dunlops. My local dealer isn't even going to stock them anymore, they are stocking Metzelers, and offering 30% off if you buy and hae them installed.
I like Metzelers better anyway, didnt need an incentive to switch.
