Default Lets talk performance, need your input

Hello everyone, hope your all having a great day. I'm writing today to see if I can get any input from others that may have the same exhaust as I do. I currently have the Sinister Industries Up Yours 2 into 1 exhaust. I love the look and sound of the pipe but I currently have a stock engine. I'm getting ready to go from a 103 to a 107 with 10.5-1 compression and a woods 777 cam. I'm looking to try and get around 115HP and 120 or so in torque. I've heard good and bad about performance with this pipe. My deal is that I have extended bags with no rear cutout for any other pipes. So what I'm getting at is should I go ahead with the build or save the money because I would get poor performance from the pipe? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It may be hard to tune. I would suggest an Evo idustries 49btooth clutch basket to lower overall gearing along with a woods 222 and a really good tune, headwork optional.

Have you talked with the service guys at Ray Price HD? You don't have to let them do the work but they know there $hit when it come's to performance. I'm sure their first answer would be to get rid of that exhaust, it more for looks than performance.

To get that performance level you should talk to a tuning shop on how to get there. If they can work with that exhaust that will be a bonus, but keep an open mind. You have access to HDF sponsors such as FM and Hillside, who are generous with their advice.

I can't speak to your current pipe, but I have an FM107 putting down 115/124 with PD's and Bassani's which is a 2:1:2. In my opinion, you will need headwork for the 107" to get where you want to be. I am running CP 10.75's with an effective 10.6-10.7 static compression according to FM's Jamie with their "B" headwork and TW777's. Like "grbrown" said, the sponsors here will share their advice and like "hd_rolling" said talk to builders that have builds that produce the numbers you are looking for.

... good luck and post up your results.

[edit] just re-read your post, you want 120 TQ - well, mines close (116) with a dual, not sure about the up yours, but I'd guess you'd be pretty close. [/edit]

You should be fine if you want 115 TQ with a 107. Its a 2-1, should do better than that.

I have V&H Dresser Duals (horrible from a performance perspective), 107, 777 cams, NO head work, and mine made 116 TQ. I'm also at 10.25 compression.

+1 what he said, get the heads. I went with 107, 777, lvl b heads. 10.5 comp with mgs true duals and got 112hp/126 tq. I would like to go back to a 2n1 actually, spend the money on the heads and see where ur at.
