Default New Exhaust

Looking at putting on a 2-1 exhaust. I see that everyone has the fatcat. Is it that good of a pipe or is it just the latest trend? Those who have had there bike on the dyno did you try different pipes? I know that some of the shops have different exhaust to try before you buy. I do not have a hot motor. Just a 95" with 203 cams. Much better torque than my original 88".

good post, I am looking on same exhaust. Heard one at dealer and sound is hella good, friend of mine just installed thunderheader nice sound and performance (on 96inch he got 80hp) but I don't like look and is made cheap, customer service sucks, (it's owend by 81 and you can't get no one on phone). Dealer told me that fatcat has good performance and is made well like V&H, or Rinehardt etc.

The Fatcat is a good pipe but not everyone has one, I'm happy with my Supermeg, a lot of people don't like the sound [too quiet] but I never heard anyone say it didn't make good power.

I think the Fat Cat is an excellent pipe. Is it a "trend"? Maybe, but only because most guys who try one love it, and the word got out. Actually I think any 2 into 1 will please you from a performance standpoint. Some guys swear by their Thunderheaders, others like Supertrapps, Bassanis, Rineharts, R&B and a few others.. Vance and Hine's Pro Pipe has a huge following and is cheap and sounds great. A lot of choices out there, me I run a Fat Cat.

+1 Fat Cat is excellent fit and finish, and proven performer. I chose LSR 2-1 for performance and looks, and can't beat the sound, which is deep but not too loud.

Running a SuperMeg on my '02 Heritage w/95"HQ package. Like the sound and no issues with the bags either. Noticable improvement from what I had on prior.

I read an article about a 95 build awhile ago and they tried several different pipes and the supermeg is what they went with. The fact that it is not loud is also a plus. I like the look of the fatcat but have read that it hits the road alot. I do like to ride curves and the floorboards drag alot now, if the pipes are as low as they appear in the pictures I would probably have trouble .

The fatcat isn't a good pipe, and it's very trendy to have one right now. That's why a lot of people are running them.....we all got suckered into thinking they're worth a damn! Ok, sorry to be a smartass; I'm just kidding. I love my Fatcat, and I'd buy another one in a minute. BUT, that's not to say that the Supermeg, Bassani Road Rage, and LSRs are bad. Rinehart is a good pipe, as is the V&H Pro Pipe (I'm probably leaving something out, but not on purpose). On the other hand, I'd stay away from Thunderheader. I've read a lot of responses about how bad the fit and finish is.

I am very happy with the power my D&D 2 into 1 produces. I ran a number of slip-ons and none of them produced the same seat of the pants feel the D&Ds do. Its noticeable.

As far as dragging, I've not heard anyone complain of dragging them. Floorboards are always first to drag. I think you'll be fine.
