Voltage supply upgrade???
Im in the works of putting the 2013 cvo road king sound system on my 09 FLHP. I also will be adding front speakers to crash bar eventually with Headlight buckets. The thing is I dont know if my voltage system with it being a 09 will be able to handle the amp draw from the sytem. Cant really find any specs on what the CVO charging system has compared to mine. Any inputs would be awsome.

what is the draw on the new sound system- either in Amps or watts (consumption- not "audio output")
I strongly suspect that your stock charging system won;t have a problem as most touring bikes have a stereo system- where the RK doesn;t.
you can decrease the load on the system by swapping to an led headlight ( and passing lights)....
halogen headlight and passing light draws about 8.5 amps alone.

Part did not come in yet so I dont know the actual draw yet. Didnt know if anybody has had any experince with it yet. But that does make sense with compared from RD to SG did know if the charging system was the same or not. Yes I was already looking into getting LED lights for my head lights. Just do not know what ones yet reflective or the other day makers still reading on reviews about those. Wish I could slip them on and test drive with them on to see which one I would like best. I already converted my rear end to the CVO style fender, so I know I wont being pulling that much amps with that sense they are LEDs for the tail lights now.
