Now I drive it like I stole it.. and I get right around 30-35 mpg. I really don't know what I would get if I drove it on cruise at 70 in 6th gear.
70 on my -07 ultra feels like I'm crawling... 80-85 is more like it... It loves to run.
Screw the gas mileage - get a prius. I actually have a Honda trail 90 that they rated at 160 mpg in one advertisement - it regularly get around 100 mpg - of course - wide open it only runs about 45-50 mph
I have a 07 RK with slip on Rush 2.0 without any other upgrades including A/C. When I first got the bike I use to get 100 to 110miles every half tank. Since I put the 2.0Rush on, my mileage has dropped to about77 to 90 every 1/2 tank depending on my driving habits (cracking throttle) and all city driving.I am getting about 135 miles on 3/4 tank. My questions is, since I did not change anything but the mufflers, why would my mileage drop. If I get the A/C and ECM upload upgrade, will I get my mileage back? When I had the OEM exhaust on, I was going 220 + miles before fueling.
If your worried about mileage ... change it back. New bikes run lean ... and hot. You let it breath better, burn more fuel, it runs better (slightly less hot) and uses more gas. If I can get 200 miles to a tank on my Ultra ... it means I been going down hill a lot ... with a tail wind.
I went on abouta 200 mile run today from Eglin AFB Fl.to Baker Fl.,then up toAndalusia Al. and back through hwy 331, which puts me at 4000 miles on the bike sinceI picked it up last October. The bikewent 140 miles on 1/2 tank when I filled up. It must have been my city traffic driving causing the bike to gethorrible mileage. The way I add things, if I would have kept going without a fuel up, I would have got well over 220 miles to tank.
I would like to thank everyone for your replies and I would like everyone to know after 3,000 miles on my Rush 2.0 pipes, they still soundgreat. Yes, I still need A/C and tune, but I am waiting till my 5,000 mile check. I pull the plugs weekly to make sure I am not running the bike too hot.
As a side note, I hope to see everyone at Thunder Beach rally(Panama City Beach Fl.) the first weekend ofMay.
Was told when I bought my slip ons that if you have F.I. that 1.75 was the largest sized baffle you should run. I don't remember if I read it on a manufacturers website or if it was the Pwr Comm people. My.02 worth.
Yep, I think we have a winner. I had the same problem when I got my 06 FLHT/I after the 95 W/203 cams back from the shop. I really had a hard time staying out of the throttle.

Haven't been tuned dyno-tuned since my 95" upgrades have been done, but mileage before and after have been in the 40-45 mpg range. Doesn't matter if I'm alone or 2up or riding hard running thru the gears to get those breakin miles. Will be curious where I end up next Tuesday after tune-up appointment.[sm=burnout.gif]
I did a milage check this week-end to & from the Yuma Prison Run (209 miles each way) and was avg. 42.9 MPG & that's NOT JUST PUTTIN... Avg Speed exceeded 80 MPH.... Very Happy Pappy Here!!!
If you think you are going to get as as many miles out of the 2nd half of the indicated gas from your fuel gage you are wrong. Just devide the miles you have driven by the gallons you put in and let us know eactly how many miles per gallon you are getting is what I would do instead of using the gas gage as a reference. Just my .02.
