I have a 07 RK with slip on Rush 2.0 without any other upgrades including A/C. When I first got the bike I use to get 100 to 110miles every half tank. Since I put the 2.0Rush on, my mileage has dropped to about77 to 90 every 1/2 tank depending on my driving habits (cracking throttle) and all city driving.I am getting about 135 miles on 3/4 tank. My questions is, since I did not change anything but the mufflers, why would my mileage drop. If I get the A/C and ECM upload upgrade, will I get my mileage back? When I had the OEM exhaust on, I was going 220 + miles before fueling.
I thought it was just me having this problem. I was thinking there was a problem with my fuel gauge at first but my mileage sucks also, I even have the SERT/SEAC installed. Only have little over 300 miles so farbut from 3 tanks of gas with about half a tank left. I have the Rush slip-onswith 2" baffles and I was thinking of going with the larger baffles, now wondering if that will make it worse.
since my upgrade on my RKC which is listed below, my mileage went down slightly. It's now 38mpg as opposed to 40mpg when stock. This mileage is mostly around town riding. Haven't been able to determine HWY mileage yet as no long trips yet.
But hey, the sound, and the performance boost. It was worth the 2 mpg
yep, the 06's get a little worse mileage than the 88's in stock form, but after add ons, the mileage can get worse, but can also be remedied with a good tune (= PCIII, Sert, Etc.) Your engine is exhausting better, but not inhaling better, should at least go with anA/C and tune.
You don't mention how many miles you have on your bike, but my 07 FLHT increased to a consistent40 MPG city and 50 MPG on the highway after about 8000 miles. I added rush slip-ons with the 2.5" baffle (with stock air cleaner)at 13,000 and mileage didn't change at all.
