Default Gear driven Cam suggestions.
I have a 14 Road King. I installed Vance and Hines dresser duals, Samson fishtail mufflers and a big sucker air box. Those are the mods on the 103 engine. Was thinking of changing to hear driven cams. Anyone have suggestions on which ones, and why. Is it even worth it. The 14 s have improved cams. It pulls great even with open pipes. I also use a power vision tuner. Thanks. Be safe.

Check runout first, might surprise you with the money you'll have to spend in order to go gear drive.

You'll need to check crankshaft runout before you buy the gear drive cams. .0035 max runout.

next to no reason to go to gears on the newer chain drive setups. Especaly with only stage1.

Stay with the oem chain/hydraulic cams, as Dawg said you may require to spend a lot of dough to make it work. Ask me how I know.
