Far from a fly by night poster, sorry for even posting at all.
I understand what your saying. I apologize for the rude behavior here. I don't believe it was meant to work like this. It usually is not this way. Try to overlook it if ya can. Welcome to the forum.
Messed up the threads on my slip on pipes. What size tap do I need to fix it.
road king slip on.
Would it be possible to identify the item ?
Maybe a link i will provide may help you to identify the item by reviewing the microfiche pictures and part numbers.
The more information provided the easier it is for others to understand the problem and maybe provide a possible solution.
I will guess you are looking into the area at the rear of a slip-on muffler for a 2011 Road king with stock mufflers.
Specifically the threaded hole/nut that screw number #3929 that goes through washer #7041 and then through bracket #65723-85 as it enters the slip-on muffler threaded hole/nut.
Take screw to ACE Hardwear and get correct tap.

If someone screws up a thread (we all have before) but has a set of taps and can't figure out which one to repair it with. They should put the borrowed tools back in the box and pay someone to do it for them. It can only go downhill from there.
