I'm in FT Lauderdale for a while and would like to drive over to Howards and get a set from, but I didn't do all the measuring that he wants done before he'll sell them to you so probably not going to work out.

Doubt he even has stock of what you want. I think he orders as he needs to fill client requests. I' sure you can order and be able to pick them up in a few days.

Unless you have 2 heads (on your shoulders) I have measured all bikes over the years and know them by heart. No problems on that. Go to my web site for phone # & address. Any left over beer is not discouraged either. More food, woman & drinks usually assures of a better time (just call me crazy).
I ordered a set of #3~~#3's today, well I guess it was yesterday, (Saturday) from Howard. A nice and very helpful man, I am looking forward to a better ride.
I'm about ready to purchase Ohlins for my 14 SGS. It will be either the 12 1/8" S36E or the 13" S36E. For the sake of sounding stupid, what do u guys mean when referring them to 2-2 or 3-3? Any recommendations for mostly solo/

Those are designations that Howard Messner, of HDF sponsor Motorcycle Metal uses. He offers half a dozen variations of build, of which #2, #3 and #6 relate to Touring Harleys. #2 are emulsion (mixed gas and oil inside), #3 are separated with damper adjuster, #6 are remote reservoir with 2-way damper adjuster, all are available in different lengths. He offers HDF members a discount.......
I talked to Howard today. He recommended the 2-2A's for me. This was based on me being vertically challenged and not really wanting anything taller than the stock SG shock. So I went ahead and placed my order. I will post my thoughts once I receive, install, and test ride them. I am sure I will not be disappointed.
