I have 5 sets of smooth chrome on the shelf. Ge them before they are gone. Please call the shop to order. 2 days is all it takes to sell out of these pipes so get while the getting is good or wait 6 months like everyone else.
I was able to get the CFRs along with V&H Dresser Duals, Alen Ness Big Sucker and a Power Vision Tuner.
I actually got the opportunity to speak directly with Cary Faas shortly after posting this thread. First off, Cary presented himself as a real class act. He took a lot of time with me discussing all my concerns and explaining things to me. Long story Short, the Chrome issue has been sorted out through the use of another company that does the Chrome and the Baffles were redesigned to deal with the loss of back pressure. Cary recommended the use of true duals(2-2) like V&H Dresser duals and not cross-over pipes (2-1-2) like the Power duals that I originally wanted. He explained why but, I did not retain the reason, my apologies.
As far as tuners, at the top of his list was the Power Vision by Dynojet. He said by far it was the easiest to tune with great results. He also referred me to a tech at Dynojet, who I emailed and he promptly sent me a map for my setup along with some small tweaks. it will be a while before they go on due to the weather here, but I will report back as soon as everything is installed.
I have the CFR's on my 15 SGS. I installed them in conjunction with the S&S power tune duals head pipe, an FP3, Fuel moto billet AC, and I put the Big city thunder monster baffles in the end of the head pipe. ZERO issues with the FP3 being able to properly tune it. The thing runs awesome and sounds killer. Not obnoxious but plenty loud. Get tons of compliments on how good it sounds.

Do you think there is a real benefit from installing the baffles? What was your primary reason for using them. I actually asked Cary abouT using a baffle with his system and he felt that it was unecessary. Curious to know what the noticeable benefits are.
Currently i am using VH dresser dual, CFR, and get the mapping done with screaming eagle super tuner. Massive DB levels and succeeding annoy the neighbor. Happy..
Havent been here in awhile but saw the post ref CFR's and couldn't resist. I have them on my 08 roadking classic along with the cfr headers.Have had them now for about 6 years or so. Planning on getting a 2015 SGS if deal goes my way. So i'll miss them.

Wow, you jumped on these when they were fairly new. You're going to love that 15 FLHX should all go well. Are you thinking about going back with CFRS or something different this time around?
Don't know as of yet.You know how it is once you get a new bike and want to make it your own.It takes a little while after all the $$ on the new bike. But who knows.I'm sure the cost of the CFR's are up there compared to when I originally got mine. Going to have to research pipes again to see.Dont even know how the exhaust are on the new bikes now.
They are and they are not, they are riveted on. I don't know how the black ones are doing, but I had my issues with the chrome ones.. I think they were on my bike for 2 maybe 3 months. They eventually sent me a new set, but it was pure hell getting them to respond in a timely manner. I sold the new set as soon as they arrived and bought a set of Jackpots from FuelMoto.
I bought a set of CFRs for $200 on Craigslist couple months ago. Pipes were perfect but the end caps had chrome flaking off and were scarred on the bottom. Bought a new set of end caps from CFR for $100. All you got to do is drill out the rivets and re-rivet the new caps or do what I did, which was to thread the end caps to 1/4-20 NC and buy some button head stainless steel hex screws. Looks much better than rivets. I'd take a few pictures but it's 5* here and I'm not too motivated to go to the garage.
