Have a bra on my fairing that I placed double sided tape on. Ran the wire through the fairing from the RAM mount and then along the front of the windsheild. The antenna is right there less than an inch from the windsheild so you don't see any cabling.
I have the sirius Stiletto 10 and i used a regular car kit. The dock mounts with double sided tape so that is mounted directly to an open area of my gauge cluster and the Stiletto dock site just left of my throttle housing. I wondered about vibration knocking the stoiletto out of the cradle at first, but so far it has failed to even come loose. The little lock on the side stays put.
The antenna is mounted on the lip of the fairing just behind the small windshield with some velcro. I have not tried the antenna under the fairing, but since reception is so sensitive I just went the safe route and mounted it on top of the fairing.
I've heard of guys routing and mounting the antenna to the rear fender just behind the passenger seat as well.
How about some photos of your Stiletto mount. I just got one and I fell for the BS the sales guy was pushing when he said I would not need an external antenna. Anywaylets see how you did yours please. Thanks.
