In my quest to be better seen, I am considering installing Bright *** Lights rear LED combination lights. But, I have a question for those that have installed them.
For the touring style, there are 2 options: 4 LED BAL1, and 12 LED BAL 4. There is a significant difference in price...$200 vs. $430 respectively. And I need two for the TriGlide!!! Ouch!
So, compared to the OEM, and to each other, what is the difference in brightness?
I can only speak for the BAL1. It makes a huge difference in being seen. With the various flashing options you can decide on how well you wish to be seen. I can't imagine having the BAL4 because it could possibly be too bright at night with someone right behind you. If your looking for the ultimate wow factor then go for the BAL4. I'm extremely happy with my BAL1.
mine came with the tri glide when purchased, BAL4 man they are bright and get attention. get comments all the time during the day, i don't ride at nite, altho have taken it out at nite just to see what they look like.
adjust them and leave them alone, they are one pain in the *** to adjust, like 10-12 diff settings and seems like you have to adjust each one separately.
picked up my ride used from the dealer, salesman told me there like an 800.00 extra. that the previous owner had installed.
