Well finally had a nice day here in Oklahoma. So a couple of us went on about a 180 mile ride. This was the first time going two up on the 98 Road King. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it handled. Seemed to have plenty of power and actually road better with both of us on it. My wife and I are both decent sized people and we had more room than I thought we would. Bike ran perfect the entire time. We got about 35 mpg. The only issue was I noticed at the end of the ride there was a little bit of oil coming from one of my front forks. So I'll have to address that soon. Looking forward to putting many more miles in
Sounds ideal! Too darned cold over here for my liking, although we have had a sunny day. It's best to sort out that leak reasonably soon, because a small fork seal leak can suddenly get much worst and you'll both find oil splats on your clothes.

Can you believe this weather? It's was over 80 here in Tulsa yesterday. Wife and I were out and about all day on the RK.
Fix both fork seals soon, and research the forum on fork oil to figure out the weight of oil
when refilling. Just because your Bike is a 1998, dose not mean you can't make it ride good
for you and your wife.

Damn! It only got into the mid 70's here in central Florida yesterday! We rode around 160 miles, hit the swap meet at destination Daytona, Iron Horse, Cabbage Patch, Shovelhead. Forgot all about that Florida sun, got a good redface for all that fun in the sun!
The weather is turning against us again, but nothing like the rest of the country. I guess I'll have to make this sunburn last a week 'till we can ride again.

sounds great... a little jealous here in Toronto -13c and snowing
Atleast some of ya get a chance to get out and ride. I probably wont ride for atleast another 2 months. Its not the cold that bothers me, its all the salt on the ground. We wont ride 2 up for a month after I start. Oh well, it gives me chance to refresh riding skills and get all the winter aggression out.
