Default 96 to 103 w/cams

I been having idle issues with my 07 street glide, change the normal causes (iac, tps, and such) with no resolve. I decided to take it in and mechanic seems to think it will be something simple. With that being, if it is something simple im thinking about doing 103" and cams. i have cai, s&s power tune duals ans pcv w/autotune. I wondering what cams and hp/trq numbers u guys getting with similar setups. I haven't gotten his suggestions yet i was in a rush when he picked it up.I know how search the forum so i dont need that as a suggestion.

I recently installed the Andrews 48H in my '12 SG 103". Nice long torque curve peaking at 103 lbs.

Asking about cams is a lot like asking about oil. You will get a million different answers about what is "best". There are TONS of cams out there, it all depends on what you are looking for. You plan on any headwork? Straight up bolt on upgrade? Looking for low/mid range? The best cam in the world will not perform to its full capability without a good tune, so a dyno at the end by a good reputable tuner is highly recommended. Also, if your looking to do a 103" upgrade...why not go 107" by Fuelmoto, they have an entire kit available for a pretty good price.

yea the word "best" is subjective im trying to see more of what guys are running not their opinion of best. I looked at 107 w/woods777 cams looks like a great kit still considering it. The Mechanic is saying 103 w/cams for around or under $2000 with them doing all the work. i was thinking maybe 777's with the 103 cause i will probably get head work at some point.

Get some good higher compression pistons whatever ya do. That will really open up your cam choices. 107 isn't much more cash. Think seriously about doing the heads at the same time. A well put together combo always wins over something pieced together...

I wouldn't worry about any upgrades until he finds out whats wrong and gives you that price, if he doesn't fix the issue your having now completely adding more power will only make it worse!
