When I drive in a city I always look for the Harley dealers, at this time of the year (winter) they always have a kind of a flee market table with all kind of parts.
There always a good deals somewhere.
Kutter has always come in with best price compared to several of my local dealerships. I've contacted their parts department by phone on occasion and always got a knowledgeable, courteous representative.
Another vote for Kutter, but I've also used Surdyke as well.
(Kutter has real S/H charges that are lower; Surdyke seems to flat-rate a lot of theirs.)
Another lesser-know dealer is Hale's HD in Mansfiled, Ohio!
They give you 20% off HD parts, as well as Drags Specialties, etc... but you need to have the p/n when you call.
They also have decent S/H charges, AND.... they'll ship whatever they have in stock right away!
(If there are multiple items in your order, they fill it ASAP, then ship the rest when the parts arrive at no added charge.)
New Castle HD seems to have great prices, but really high S/H charges...
I have used Kutter, New Castle, Surdyke, and Manchester Super Store.
All have good discounts, some have more inventory then others, some have faster shipping.
What I have noticed is each store has certain parts that are more economical then the other and that includes the shipping charge if it is part of the order.
Personal example, Manchester was cheaper on painted parts including shipping
Kutter was cheaper on luggage rack, vent trim, carbon gauge panel, speakers and amp.
Surdyke was cheaper on auxiliary lights and leds.
You need to find the right store for your parts.
I always check all the above before purchasing.
Good luck.

I also do comparison shopping, the only way to get the lowest price.
I tried to do the price matching with my dealer and they said 10% is all I could get, I get a 10% discount for being retired Army.
If you have a copy of your DD214 make a copy of it and keep it with you. You would be surprised at the deals you can get. All you have to have in most cases is a copy of the DD214 or id card. If you have a id card try using military.com The discounts for hotels is unbelievable low prices.
Good idea DirtDobber I will try using My medical card form the Veterans Admiaistration
Just had to order some candy last week and I shopped New Castle, Surdyke, and Kutter. In the past New Castle had generally been less costly. This go around it was Kutter
New Castle 329 shipped
Surdyke 340 with free shipping
Kutter 308 with free shipping
Kutter got the business this time since my local dealer who I do spend money with and am a member of their hog group wouldn't match the price.
Oh well. Thanks Kutter.
I like New Castle HD. I'm an hour from them. Service department is straight shooters and honest. I use them to order online. I'm in Ohio and they're in Pennsylvania. I pay in shipping what sales tax would be. The good prices are online only though.
Being in OH, is a perk for you, but I am about 2 hrs away, but in PA, once they add sales tax and shipping, I am better off buying form my local dealer ar list price. I have found that the big issue with New castle is the shipping rates, they are way high for as close as I am to them.
I use Kutter exclusively, they are great, no tax, fast shipping, no trouble returns, and free shipping over $100. I used to check prices between the 3 listed, but Kutter is just so good at the online parts business, I am willing to pay a few bucks more to use them.
