Default Big City Thunder baffles

I haffave a 2014 Street glide with Screamin Eagle slip on pipes. Looking to get some more sound and was told to order big city Thunder baffles for the head pipe. Was also told I have to drill a hole through the catalytic converter.I'm concerned about voiding the warranty, any thoughts on the baffles and the warranty issue?

thanks strat

I've had Thunder Monster baffles, but it was back when I had a Yamaha, and wanted it to sound more Harley! They definitely sounded pretty good though. I'm not a mechanic by any stretch, and I can't say anything about the warranty, but I think you can get more "Harley" sound by just changing out the head pipes, and getting rid of that catalytic converter. I put Vance & Hines Power Duals on my 2011 Limited Ultra, mainly to get rid of the heat of that catalytic converter, but I ended up getting a better sound also, and even a little more get-up-and-go with the Power Duals. If you don't like the "X Pipe" look of the Power Duals, you can do the Dresser Duals. Knowing what I know (which is just my opinion!) I'd go that way first, before I did the baffles. I've read on the forums here, that Dresser Duals won't give you as much of that extra get-up-and-go that the Power Duals will, but I've never had Dresser Duals, so I can't vouch for that.

yes - get rid of the cat and you will like the sound much better - there are a few options for a head pipe - fuel moto is another good one...
