Like Mike said, the '09 models had the catalytic converter in the mufflers, not the headpipe.

In '10, the cat came in the headpipe. An aftermarket header might be a little lighter, but I can't imagine it would perform much better in the areas you described as important to you.

So would decatting the headpipe have the same result as an 09 headpipe? Mine being a 12 with a cat. But wouldnt a DX pipe or fuel moto 2:1:2 head pipe with a full 1.75 x over pipe make a difference over a decatted headpipe, or just minimal?
Curious here, I just installed the fullsac 1.75 baffles and am thinking of doing the headpipe with the X and x over pipe for better flow on my 110.

Leave the stock CATless headpipe....There will be no real noticeable gains by going with a new headpipe.....Spend that money on something else for the bike

Remember the '09 bike was a 96", while yours is a 110". I remember reading some FM posts that the bigger cross over would only show gains on big builds.

I am very unfamiliar with the characteristics of a 110". The large cross over might make a difference in your bike. I imagine the catless pipe probably definitely would.

2012 Roadglide I used the Fuelmoto 2-1-2 headpipe with a stage 1 download and nothing else. A little cooler, a little better throttle response and a little more sound. It worked for me.

What you guys think?
Unless your bike is a Calif. model you do not have a cat. That being said, go to the FuelMoto site and check their dyno runs. One dyno run was a stock '09 103 and one was exactly the same, but with a FuelMoto head pipe. There was 1.8 HP difference. That is not much gain for the 400.00 asking price.

I'm with bill, I own a 2013 and it has a cat in the header..........I went to HD this weekend to talk about buying a header without a cat and the cost of the headers/slip ons was just not worth the extra couple hps. That $$ will be well spent on a bike trip this summer

A agree, there isn't enough gain to be had for the cost. A stock head pipe without a cat works just fine on a stock to mild build.
