Default Lowering front. Clearance question.

For those who have installed lowering springs...
How much clearance do you have between your fender and your fairing skirt?

I used Progressive springs to drop an inch and I only have about 3 inches of travel clearance. Is this a safe number?

I have the same set up, I have never had an issue... although I would say the ride on the front is VERY stiff....

So you only have about 3 inches from the fender to the skirt?
And yes, the ride is a little rigid up front.

I went down 1.5" and worried about hitting my fender. I ended up lowering the fender down onto the tire and switching to a 50/50 mix of SE and stock fork oil. No worries now.

I lowered mine with Progressive springs when I fitted my 23" front. I ended up with only 2" clearance.

Must admit I have hit my fender twice but love the slammed look so gonna live with it, BTW I did use thicker oil and and ride is hard but I like it, its the sharp bumps that catch you out

What caught me out was, the brake union tried to reposition it but so far unsuccessful.
