Yes, I know I shouldn't do this butt...
I have a need some times while still motoring down the lane on my Road Glide,
to stand up and get the blood circulating in my old backside again.
Trouble is my footboards are a little far forward to do this and even
though I have a Mustang driver's backrest to lean against, it's a challenge.
Has anybody done a mod where they can stand up while riding their tour bike?
Again, stop, rest, take breaks, modify my seat etc in a perfect world.
I have done all that. I want to stand up from time to time. Any fixes?
I am just a hair under 6' & on long rides I have the same issue & have found that I can put both feet on the passenger foot rests & kinda take some pressure off.
Not really stand but it does seem to help.
1. Highway pegs
2. Passenger foot boards
3. Wedge myself up against the riders backrest using the foot boards
4. Standing on the foot boards.
I do stand on them but not when other traffic is around. I have the vtwingoodies extensions that helps with having the needed area to stand on them. You really can't stand straight up but by using the handlebars, can get pretty high.

When I was younger I actually stood on my seat and stood upright. It worked great till one time I slipped and hit the road doing 45 miles an hour. After I woke up 30 min later I figured out it wasn't a good idea ! I think I was 22 at the time.
