The best way for me to get lower prices is to buy my stuff in the states. I doubt very much there will be any significant price drop. I mean why would they?

Can't come soon enough...and it may.

The following taken from the news release....

"The two companies are also in discussions about a possible agreement to move up the transition in Canadian operations to as early as the third quarter of 2015"

not sure what your definition of significant is but Deeley has to generate revenue also which correlates into markup across the board for everyone. I can see where prices would drop but who knows. Bean counters are running HD now so it's all about the almighty dollar.

Not to mention you guys in CA have never been able to call HD customer service directly but instead had to deal with CS through Deeley. That will change for sure.

In countries where HD has an independent dealer system are the prices more comparable to US pricing? Can you phone HD customer service directly?

Not mentioned by anyone is whether or not there is some sort of import duty involved. If there is, the price difference is directly attributable to "government interference" and having Deeley as the middle man added relatively little. If there is no duty involved, then getting Deeley out of it may be a big help. I just ask the question as no one has mentioned it.

It will be nice to cut out the middle man. Whether or not we benefit in the end remains to be seen. One can only hope.

Well said. We pay more for everything in Canada. It's all about supply and demand.
