Hey all, we'll it's another extemded warranty question??? I bought the original extended warranty and it is due to expire 4/15. I'm thinking of renewing it yet again? As the bike gets older im sure more issues will arise. My question is what is the going rate or what have some of you paid for the second round of warranty?
Interesting question which I had not considered. I wonder what the cost of an extension is?
I do know that on my last bike, the extended warranty paid for itself. There is peace of mind, at a cost, that whatever might go wrong will only cost me $50 deductible.
I am interested in hearing what others think as well.
Esp has changed a bit since you originally purchased. Make certain you understand the current policies available. Some are with companies other than CNA.
Prices will vary greatly with your location.
I will be researching to renew in a couple of years myself.
Got to get the one with the "MoCo's Blessing".
My GF renewed her's last time around for another 3 years. Got in just before Kutter could no longer discount the CNA package, so I am sure we saved something off the current retail. Current retail is pretty much what your gonna pay now since they have taken away the ability for dealers to sell ESP to out of state buyers. Call it monopoly,, call it price protection, call it whatever. If my 2010 is still eligible for renewal in 2017 I will probably buy it again. The bike will have over 100K by then.
Here it was somewhere in the ballpark of $2100.00 for extended. MIne up in July. Debating as well. But I enjoy working on my own bike. Complain most of the time they work on my bike.
IMO. For repairs...
To HD service my bike is just another bike, to me it's my bike!
Tools, Beer,Radio,Jack, service manual, Good to go!
I don't know about this, my bike already has 30K on it and the factory warrantee hasn't even run out yet.I have the extended warrantee and so far the only thing it has paid for was a tire. Then again my bike will likely have over 100,000 mi on it when the extended warrantee runs out.I guess it depends on what kind of financial shape I'm in when it runs out.Tough call, on the one hand I don't have allot of time or patience for wrenching especially if it's something major and I need my bike for transpo but it might be a smarter move to save that money for an overhaul or a down payment.
$2100 Is what I was quoted for 3 extra years when I bought mine a couple weeks ago.

Agree 100%............. $2100 gets a fair amount of repairs done, it's also close to 10% of a touring model, a good down payment if someone is financing....
