are you trying to look and see what you're doing or trusting your hand and feeling the valve. If you let your hand do the work without having to look at everything you will find you dont have to lay down on the ground or floor and its easier.
lol.....i guess i'm just old and fat. i don't bend as easy as i used to. i normally get service every 5000 miles and the pressure stays pretty stable but every now and then i do get one of those bone jarring potholes or seams at a bridge that just rattle your teeth and make me want to check the pressure and make sure they're inflated and the rims are ok, especially after reading the thread about the cracked rim. that sucked. appreciate the feedback.

I have to admit, after reading this post, I got a little excited/chub...
I use this valve stem extension. $10 bucks from Harley. Makes it a whole lot easier.
looks like that might just be the ticket. i sometimes have problems keeping the chuck tight against the stem. this would certainly solve it. will have to take a trip to the stealer.
I like a digital tire pressure gauge. I start by removing the saddle bag on my '14 FLHXS, makes it much easier to get the gauge on it. Sometimes I'll even clean the wheel while I'm at it.

I have the HD mini air compressor that fits in your saddlebag and it comes with that same exact extension hose. The compressor is great for what it is and it was only $39. It comes with a quick connect cable that plugs right into your charging cable on the bike that's connected to your battery. You can air up in a few minutes right on the side of the road.
Best HD accessory under $50.....and you know there aren't many of those!
