Default Clicking when pushing bike.

O.K. Fellas I need some advice here. Fist off the bike is a 13 Ultra with 19 k. The compensator was replaced at aprox. 16k. Before the comp. was replaced I was hearing a whirling sound at idle wich has continued even with a new comp.. Also about 2k before it was replaced at one start up it squealed, like a belt on your truck would make. I mentioned this to the service manager at the time of comp. replacement and when the job was done he said the tech found no bad bearing. Now when moving the bike in the garage with engine running or off, in nuetral or in first it is making a loud, fast clicking sound when pushed forwards or back,it is definately in the clutch area. Loudest on the left rear area of the primary. It also does this on the lift, so not a wheel bearing. Also with all slack put into the cluth cable while on the lift. So could it be the inner primary bearing, clutch pack or what?. Sorry for the long read and thank you for any advice.

Could just be the belt teeth on the sprockets, could be a main shaft bearing, but not sure about how it would click.

Belt too tight? Have you had your rear tire replaced? Maybe they pulled your rear tire too far back

Not the teeth on the sprocket and the belt is in spec.. With the derby cover off its very pronounced.

I don't know if this helps, but when the primary bearing went out on my '00 Heritage, it sounded more like a bad bearing, not a clicking sound. However, when they got inside they found out because the bearing was bad the stator was greating chewed up hitting on something in the case. That could be your clicking sound. I'd have a different dealer check it out.

My Street Glide was doing the same clicking sound when I pushed the bike in neutral. Turns out it was the battery vent tube hitting the belt.

Yep, check the vent tube. Sounds like it's rubbing on the belt.

UPDATE
This has bugging me so much I had a dream last night of finding the primary tensioner in peaces. Well after work today I put the bike on the lift in preporation of pulling the outer primary for a little exploratory. I decided to give it one more go over for a simple cause, bike in neutral, spun the rear while shining the flashlight along the top of the belt to the front sprocket. There it was. Way up there and barely visible lodged between the sprocket and inner primary cover was a friggin leaf. The sound that dry oak leaf made in a silent garage in that spot sounded like a steel on aluminum click every time it contacted the teeth. 20 minutes with a wire hook and it was out. Blaze away. And thanks to those who give suggestions.
