Check out the Mutazu King Tour Pak. The newer models are excellent and it comes with the steel plate in the bottom. And, if you call Mutazu and order from Gina, you'll get a 15% discount due to being a member of this forum. I have over 2000 miles on my TP and haven't had 1 problem.
Here's a few pics of my tour pak.
Okay, I'm cheap. To keep stuff from moving around, I have an old blanket inside the tour pak.
Steel plate at the bottom of the tour pak.
From my dealer, I ordered a lock. So I use 1 key for the bike and the TP. I'll eventually upgrade the hinges and latches but close to 3000 miles and no problems with them, yet.<br/>

if u dont mind me asking what were they offering for $1600?
with HD Color match and mounting plate under $900.00. If u choose to go that way.
Yes the color matched is pretty pricey. Another option is getting the unpainted version and getting a good painter to paint it.
I got the newer style chopped TP for my '13 King. There might be some issues opening your saddle bags with the older style TP, probably why they redesigned it.

The local HD dealer quoted $1600 for the pack, latches, and rack. (removable) It is color matched too.. Same price they quoted what I bought the bike. Seemed really pricey.
