Default Shift linkage question

I wasn't to upgrade my shift linkage to a slotted, beefier piece. The slotted version from HD has a bar and shield on it and I'd prefer plain. Quick Google searches have not led me to anything I liked. I was wondering if the HD shift linkage can be flipped over and if the other side is plain?

Landmark makes a linkage that's almost identical, just no Bar and Shield.

Contrast or Chrome:

Be sure you wind up with the heim joint type at the ends, for sure...

I saw that one but I always prefer HD chrome... It just seems... Deeper? Have you seen or used Landmark?

Definitely. I've heard that from others as well. Thanks.

Landmark has some cool stuff, but some guys go to ( www.rodendsupply.com ) and buy
the Heim joint and make their own. It is cheaper, maybe not better when it comes to looks.

I have not used anything from them personally. However, I have seen a few pieces from them in person and the chrome was pretty solid. As good or better than anything aftermarket I've seen. On my FXST that I recently traded I ran a Kuryakyn Extruded shift linkage, came in a kit with the +3" forward controls that I put on that scoot and I would have to say that the stuff I've seen from Landmark was finished better. Mostly stick to aftermarket parts here as opposed to MOCO, I can usually find something I like more than the Harley offering. I do most of my business with a local Indy because I get better service and a good discount, helps that my wife is the Parts Dept

If you go with Rod End Supply here is what you would need as for rod ends they also make the shifter rods to fit.
LXM – LXF Rod Ends | Self-Lubricating Nylafiber MATRIX Race | Rodend Supply LXF-5 is the part#.
Less than $20.00
