Default Speed Bleeders

I've always wondered if the speed bleeders work as well as claimed. In case you've wondered as well, here is my experience. I just finished changing the brake fluid on my 2010 Ultra with ABS using a set of speed bleeders that I ordered about a month ago. My Ultra uses part #SB8125L. Very happy with the results. Changed fluid on both front brakes and rear brake in about 1/2 an hour with zero mess. All you need is speed bleeders, about $21.00 in my case for 3 of them, a clear jar and some 1/4 id clear tubing which came from Tractor Supply for about $3.50 for 10 feet. The stock bleeders come off with a 3/8" wrench and the speed bleeders use a 5/16" wrench for install. I have a Mity-Vac that I've used in the past and it works good, but the speed bleeders are easier in my opinion. Good stiff pedal now and all the sponginess is gone. I was concerned about using SB's with ABS. It turned out not to be a non issue. Read from other posts that you don't want to cycle the ignition during the process or the digital technician has to be used to remove bubbles. I give them two thumbs up.

Just don't turn on the ignition during the process and you will be fine. And be patient. It takes a while, but eventually the air will be gone and things will tighten up. Speed Bleeders are the s#^*!
