I would think so? Prices are good, but when you have an issue PITA. I have a Heated Hammock seat from Kutter that came in with the rear tab really bent badly. Can probably be straightened, but concerned about it breaking out of the plastic seat pan?

You're having a bunch of bad luck.
The seat I would not fix, I'd exchange.
The shocks, they will only probably exchange unless this can be determined to be normal for these shocks. I don't know if you'll get ahold of anybody at Surdyke to personally look at another set or contact Harley.
The 2-1-2 head pipe from Fuel Moto I installed was close to my cam chest, I put a couple of pieces of cardboard between there to create clearance then tightened the pipes up then removed the cardboard and all is good now.
You need a case number from the Harley Forums and a team of experts to work on your problems.

Yes much bad luck! Its supposed to be fun. I tried adding a 1/16 plastic shim between the pipe and cam chest and couldn't get it in there by myself, may have the wife put the shim in while I pull the pipe out.

I can't say for certain because I haven't personally seen the shocks new in the box, but I'd be willing to bet that it's normal. Those new shocks have not yet ever had any load on them. They both work differently, one for compression and one for rebound I believe.
Did the box and packaging look new and unopened? You can call Surdyke or speak to any HD service department or parts counter about it if it makes you more comfortable, but I'm thinking it's normal. JMHO
