Default Premium Ride Shock Problem (Pix added)

Was installing my premium ride shocks today and discovered I have 2 different length shocks. One measures 12" eye to eye and the other is 13" eye to eye. This set is supposed to be the 13" Standard length, witch is labeled as such on the box. I know the shocks are quite different from one another but, should there be this difference in length?

the 13" will be marked 540000081/2

looking at pics, the one with the **** appears to be longer when not mounted up

They both should measure the same.

Just a guess, But what if you adjust the adjustable one to the length of the other?

My 12" shocks each have a label with a part number,
Any part numbers on your shocks?
Where did you get them?
