Barnett's is not much better as far as sales as they have the market sewed up in the area. Have been to the Lawton dealership but only to buy a T shirt. Move on and find a dealership you feel comfortable with. Let your fingers do the walking and best of luck!!!

Perhaps I don't understand something involved. Internal combustion engines have been around for over 100 years. Set air/fuel ratio for steady state and for acceleration, set timing for the same situations. Where is the "rocket science" especially on a stock or only lightly modded engine?

That's the sick love/hate relationship we all live in the HD world. I love Harley's (and motorcycles in general) as much if not more than the next guy, but absolutely HATE this corporate Harley mentality. Problem is, you can't blame them for capitalizing on everyone's love for the bike. You could only hope that such an "American" company would someday see the monetary issues people are going through, lower their prices and stigma of "they will pay to play" attitude, and allow more people to enjoy it. It makes more sense to me to sell 25 $10 items than 3 $50 items but what do I know???

Like everyone else said, let that stealership kiss your *** and move on to one that appreciates your business. That's the other nice thing about America, they aren't the only ones around. Internet brother! Good luck

I agree that Harley's are overpriced. So is Lexus, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Porche, etc. You pay extra for the name. That said, Harley doesn't tell the dealers how much they have to sell the bike for or who they have to hire in the sales or parts departments. The dealers are independent businesses. I have one dealer 3 miles away, another 12 miles away (both have the same owner) and another 30 miles away. Any time I have to get something from the dealership, I go to the one 30 miles away because they understand customer service and don't act like I'm lucky they let me buy something.

So the sales manager doesn't have anything good to say about his salespeople! Did he hire them? WTF, then why are they still there? Good luck.

Depending on which Dynamometer the shop in question owns, yes it could take about 10 hours to correctly tune one in. Some Dyno's, the older ones, are only capable of tuning in one cylinder at a time and when it's done that way, after it's been run through all the cycles and cool down periods on both jugs they have to try to tune them together as a unit the best they can. Find another Dealer with a more up-to -date machine.

I guess that depends on what dealership you are dealing with. I'm happy with mine (so far), & as long as they continue to treat me right I'll continue to do business there.

I've found that if you walk into a store - any store - with a chip on your shoulder & a clear aversion for being there, the attitude shown to you will probably be less congenial than if you appear approachable.

If the absolute most important thing to you is the lowest cost, that day, for that item - then a dealership may not be where you want to be.
