Projector LED Installation issues
I just installed the projector LED daymakers in my 2013 FLHR. The headlight installation was pretty straight forward. The auxiliary lights are a different story. First, the wires coming into the housing were too short to reach the location at the top of the new bulb. The old bulbs connector faced down from the lamp whereas on the new LED, the connector is at the top. Just about an inch short. No problem. I lengthened the wire a few inches. Problem 2- The new bulb is larger than the old, therefore, the chrome ring doesn't close the gap completely on the bottom leaving about a 1/4" gap at the bottom of the ring where the screw is. I don't like the look of that. I ruined one ring already, trying to tighten the screw and the screw just popped right through the hole, widening it. So now I have to replace the chrome ring. I thought these things were just going to be plug and play but they certainly are far from it. Anyone else solve the gap problem ?
