Dyno Numbers with elevation
Did not want to hijack the recent post on the dyno test, so made a new post. I have never had a dyno test on my bike, but this IMO comes from drag racing: When reviewing and posting a dyno pull, each of you know there are a number of preformance upgrades and type of oil that make a difference in the test numbers. Many dyno posts also include tempature and humidity, but one thing that is not included in the posts are sea level ELEVATION. You may want to consider that the same owner testing in Denver will run a different number in San Diego (thinner air equals lower numbers). Also, the same bike tested in December will run a different number in July at the same location (colder air equals more dense air and higher numbers), and a bike test in humid area will run different numbers in the Arizona desert (humid air equals heavier air). Just a reminder when comparing your test results as I enjoy the numbers as they are very interesting, but need all the factors included to compare and get a true picture....
