have seen those on goldwings before. have yet to see them on a harley. i was about to get a set for my mrs but opted instead for a new passenger backrest with slightly longer armrests. they added about 2" of armrest and looks much more "harley natural". wife loves it and saysit is very comfortable.
Finally got 'em. Installed with my leather tour pak and rear speakers in about an hour. They function well and look OK. The vinyl covering on the arm rests looks kinda cheap. Gotta find a leather man who can redo them to match the rest of the bike. Most importantly the wife LOVES them.... especially the built in fold-away cup holder.
I also have them very easy install and the wife Loves them (that why I got them) no problem at all getting on and off as they brake apart under the tour pac, big plus the cup holder, well worth the money "If she's happy we are all happy"
I installedsome on a Goldwing for a friend awhile back. They are nice and are functional. However.....
I agree that the top vinyl portion looks cheap! Not really a problem though as it does work. The mounting system could have been better(maybe). It mounts to part of the tourpack on the Goldwing....which is just plastic. It appeared that someone would have to be careful and make sure you don't put too much elbow weight on them.
I am sure it probably mounts about the same on the Harley and we all know the tourpack on the Harley is fragile. Neat product, the mounting system is the only real concern I have towards it.
The mounting on the Ultra is under the tour pac frame very stable and secure, Kury gives you all new hardware and you can actually take off the arms with two screws and leave the mounting bracket on, chrome and apparence are very good, most people would probably not pay extra for leather on pads the vinyl looks good and has been very durable. If your wife or GF ride very much at all these are very funtional and confortable.
All you have to do is enlarge the 4 holes (already there) to 11/32 the back have a lock nut the front two screw into the mounting frame itself.
I also have an 06 Ultra SE like Crazie with the leather tour pac and need arm rest for my 8 year old grand daughter. But no one says that their arm rest are compatable with the leather tour pac. Where did you get yours Crazie. Thanks in advance.
