We are going to take another trip to the Ozarks in a few weeks and I have been informed that there will be no passenger behind me unless there are grab rails on the rear seat. She apparently does not like the sharp curves and definitely not the sound of the foot board scraping.
Does anyone know where I can get a nice, but cheaper than dealer, set of rails for an 08 Ultra with rear speakers. I think $120 is an insane price for these and was hoping someone on here has found some cheaper.

Got mine on ebay for $25. I would check fitment as I have seen that they will not fit on the bike with Tourpak speakers and I have seen where they will fit but there is slight interference.
I ride with a 'not-so'agressive' passenger. I have passenger hand rails and
she never uses them. I am not ready to sell them, but wanted you to know....
they may not be needed.
The Goldwing had nice big convenient passenger grab handles. I bought one for the Ultra along with the extra handle thingies.....She doesn't use them but they are on there and I tried.

+1 on that, my wife has never had an issue and I sometimes forget she's there and hit the twisties a little too hard....... But then she lets me know she's there Those grab handles look like they'd serve no purpose other than a lighter wallet, to me.
I hear y'all. Unfortunately she does want them. When we hit twisties or take a nice low turn she tends to automatically reach down there looking for them. I think more as peace of mind for herself more than anything.
I've done a little researching and seen that some fit ok with the rear speakers and sometimes they don't.
Ebay has not been very friendly to me on this either.
Got mine off Fee-bay. Wifey likes them but only grabs them if I whip the bike over a bit quicker than she likes. They can be bent a bit if you need a bit of clearance for speakers but not too much. I don't have a Harley tourpak so no issues there, but my cop glide bag lids would hit the handles until I bent them up a little.
I picked up a used set on on E-bay for about $25. Needed a little polish and had to bend the mounting bracket just a touch, got about 1/2 clearance from the speakers.
Lots of used ones out there as they used to be standard on some bikes and people took them off.
