I didn't know if the increase in the neck bearing size changed anything else about the front forks that would create the need for a different kit from what has been used in the past.

Sorry, I was being a smart ***. In some cases, a product doesn't even need to exist before we recommend it to people.

aren't the 14's larger tubes than the 41mm on the older bikes?

ps if I owned a street glide I'd be changing the shocks before the forks...

Ohlins do make a 25mm cartridge for the older 41mm Harley forks, their FKC 101 is now available I understand, but they do not make a cartridge for the current 49mm forks. However, as mentioned previously, Howard of MM adapts their 30mm for us, by rebuilding them himself, to his own magic recipe.

That was my point. I understand that Howard has adapted to the 41mm forks, I just didn't know if he has made it work for the new 49's.

Wrong way around! He has adapted Ohlins 30mm cartridges to fit the 49mm forks, in fact can convert a 41mm bike to take 49mm forks, with his own trees. He has worked on that set-up since before the 49mm forks were installed on the touring bikes. Separately Ohlins introduced their 25mm cartridges for the 41mm bikes.
