Not a night & day difference, but worth it.

It helped me some, and it's probably the least expensive HD part available so you're not out much if you don't like it.

I had one on my 13 Ultra and I made one for my 15 Limited. Not sure it helps much with wind but it sure helped with the rain that always comes up over the front of your tank and why I made one for the 15. It also keeps the rain from coming up and slapping you in the face.

I made an additional one and just sent it to VA_Larry to try out and see if it helps with beard lift. I'm anxious for his feedback once he receives it this Thursday.

When the MOCO first started using the 1/2 moon shaped deflector is was recommended that riders use it in the colder months of the year as it would provide a slight bit of warmer air which would be directed up towards the rider. Conversely, they suggested that when warmer weather arrived that it be removed in order to "blow out" the hot air below the gas tank. I have tried it on and off and can truthfully say that it works marginally at best. Not worth the price if you had to buy it. Obviously, it must not have been too effective because I don't know of one bike that has it installed at the factory any longer. When installed at the factory they were black in color. I have seen in the wish book that they also can be ordered in chrome as well.

If you ever see someone riding and his beard is not in his face he has one on. For me it stopped the rain frome going up into my face shield. I ride with it in the winter and take it off during the summer. Just me.

I have one and the fork deflectors. For me it made a difference in combination of the 3 parts. For the price and ease of installation I would suggest it. It also make a difference in other set ups of the bide. Position, height of the rider etc.

Some mentioned it helps keeping the rain from coming up over the tank, if the rain isn't coming up then neither is the air I would think therefore it does something and for me and the money it is worth it.

I rode all during August and September last hear in 100+ weather and I didn't notice any problems with the heat.

Not true.. I have one.. Beard in my face.. So much so that the natural oil from my beard coats my glasses and I can't see after a mile

I use it along with the fairing deflectors and a flip top windshield. Except on high side wind days, I hardly get any buffeting or adverse wind behind the fairing. I believe the flip top windshield is responsible for the majority of this, but the deflectors definitely help too.

Add another $25 to the asking price and get some elephant ears. They work, that triple-tree deflector doesn't.

I've been in search of the buffeting Holy Grail for a few months now. I don't mind the wind in my face but I don't like the sunglasses vibrating off my head (I have a beard but it's not long enough to fly up in my face). There are so many variables that it is difficult to assess the contribution of the individual methods used to solve the problem. Most of them except for the environment can be controlled. This is subjective but I have found that the combination of triple tree baffle (deflector), front fork deflectors, batwing air deflectors, and a recurve windshield (I have an LRS Ultra) have reduced buffeting significantly. I have a stock seat on my 2010 Ultra Classic but I imagine a seat that changes your position; higher or lower, forward or back, might change the result also. I made multiple runs with every possible combination of the four elements I could control and found that when used together the greatest reduction in buffeting was realized.
