I went a little overboard but i'm pumped!! Ordered biketronics 7.1 for the fairing, 6.5 for the lowers and 6x9 for the saddlebags. The amp should handle it all. Obviously, I told myself I needed a Sony marine head unit and kit so I can still use my hand controls.

I'll need to snag up a pair of lowers for my RGC. Then I can drop off the lids and lowers together for the painter to become big blue pearl. Then put it all together!!

Not cheap but money well spent in my opionion. You will love the outcome.

Some guys are sticklers about genuine HD parts, but I got some Mutazu lowers off ebay with pods (and speakers which immediately went into the trash) for around $245 IIRC. I replaced the hardware with HD stuff, and have had them about 1 1/2 years or so with no troubles. You will want to change the head unit, get one with bluetooth.

My Sony head unit is alright but I wish it was a bit more road worthy. Large bumps will knock the heady it out. Got it working better but it still kicks out occassionally. Biketronics is hard to beat with lifetime warranty

You're a smarter man than most. I, like many, went cheap the first time only to find out it got boring real quick. If that upgrade doesn't keep you happy nothing will.
