Default Using horn switch when needed

I'm not a big horn blower in my car or on my bike. But there are times when it is absolutely necessary to avoid a bad situation.

My problem is whe I have one of those oh sh!/ moments when an immediate horn blow is necessary my thumb can't seem to find the button quick enough.

I've had this bike since 09 and have near 45k on it but when those type situations happen and my eyes are glued to what's about to transpire I can't seem to find the damn button.

I think it has something to do with the apes and the position the clutch lever had to be put in to compensate for the ape height which also changed the switch housing position where it's not a natural motion anymore to grab the horn button in an instant.

Has anyone use any gizmo that makes the horn button stand out so you can find It in an instant while your eyes are set on the guy who's about to take you out?
Some kind of button extender or something?
Thanks

Every bike I've owned, I made a point to practice reaching for the horn button to the point it became second nature muscle memory.

I have never had an issue finding it on any bike I've owned when it was needed.

When driving in town, I have my thumb there a lot in case a cage comes into my lane, or pulls out from a side street ready to "alert" them.

get a set of cop bike controls- the siren yelp button extends out to the side.

Middle fingers usually help along with a loud yell of hey mother f@&ker!!! Seems to work also. I've hit the damn horn button going down the highway wanting to signal for a lane change. Scared the snot out of myself...

that is the one thing the cop bike controls do absolutely right, the horn button is more ergonomic.

when I cloned my 03, I left the cop controls on the left side for just that reason.
the red paddle on the left control housing under the turn signal switch is the horn

I wish I could do the same to my 13....

Thanks.
I tried and tried but for whatever reason I just couldn't get my thumb up high enough since the apes went on. Thanks though.

I have 5 bikes, 3 HD's and 2 Honda's.
I get confused at times looking for either the turn signals or horn.
I usually ride one bike a few days at a time then I have to get use to the change again.
It doesnt take long to get use to the differences but until then I hit the wrong thing. Lol

I have an 09 FLHP and before I took delivery I had factory cruise added which replaced the stock police controls with civilian controls. I too did not like the stock horn location so I put the left police control back on. Here is the before and after:

In doing this mod I moved the cruise on/off to be aux switch on the back of the nacelle. I also wired up the red siren button to turn on the passing lamps...I detailed the entire mod here.
