Update: The good folks at New Castle Harley are going to refund me the cost of the bolt kit. That frees up some money to buy the machinist beer. I sure hope he gets it out easily. Thanks for the moral support yins guys.

Make sure you join your machinist for that beer too!!
The last couple broken bolts I worked on I drilled a short pilot hole then used a left hand drill bit and they came right out. So much easier than using easy outs.
Good luck
So last night I was changing my trans covers to the new black ones I got. I bought a Drag Specialties black chrome bolt kit. A couple new bolts were a little tough starting. I chased the ends with a die. Started easier seemed to go in fine. I did the side cover first and installed my new longer clutch cable. Them on to the top cover. Same deal little stubborn starting. Chased the ends with a die. Ran a tap in the holes to clean out the factory thread locker. I was making sure the bolts would go in fairly easy. As I started backing one out it got tight to turn. I stopped. Ran it in a little, started to back it out. In, out, in, out, in, out, in, SNAP!! A lot of cursing. I was so pissed!! I stopped for the night. I did enough damage. My friend is a machinist. He's gonna see if he can extract it for me. Those bolts are junk IMHO. I removed them all and contacted the folks I bought then through. I sure hope they give me some money back. I'm sure it's my problem now though. Needed to vent.

Have seen that happen when people were trying to install aftermarket parts that turned out to be an issue with either fine vs med thread and or an issue with std SAE vs Metric thread.
