Default ape quetion

I have not been on here in a while, but i find myself with a question. I was riding a heritage, and moved to a road king police. both have the mini apes, 12 inch i believe. as of late i have been thinking of moving to 14 or 16 inch. (im 6'3) i am worried about the way it will change how it handles.... any advise or thoughts? i really like the look, but dont want to get them and then not like them or worse. any help?

Sheeet, at 6'3 you will love either 14 or 16's. To me, go 16. You obviously want more, and a two inch bump might disappoint. I am barely six feet and love my 16's! But I loved the 14's on my Fat Boy as well.

Go 16. Sure it's going to change how you handle her but you will get used to it in a few hundred miles. I wouldn't do all that work for a 2 inch lift.

A few hundred miles? It's not that big a deal

Like all have said,I would go 16in. I help my co-worker put a set on his 2012 Road Glide last week. I rode it and was impress in how well I could handle it with the 16in bars.

I am 6'4" and initially had reservations because I had never ridden a bike with apes. I finally jumped in and put 16's on. The first ride was awkward but went on a 700 mile trip the next weekend and asked myself why I didn't do it sooner. You will adjust quickly and your back will thank you.

Ok I'm gonna chime in I ride a SG I'm a little on the average side only 5'10 maybe 5'11" with the right shoes on lol and I'm riding 20" I realy don't think they change how the bike handles just changes the way u feel on the bike comfort wise but I'm my case I'm willing to adapt my riding style for the look but I'm impartial cuz I alway ride apes 20" or higher

At your height you will feel right at home with 14+
If anything, higher bars improve your steering input. I can't stand riding stock bars with my hands down by my knees. It feels unnatural.
